We covered the 100 mm Maiker tubes in the Injector section
of this issue to such an extent that little more can be said that has not already been
said. However we would like to repeat our concern for the quality of these tubes as they
are manufactured in Asia and appear to be of somewhat inferior construction. We also noted
some discomfort (harshness) when smoking identical tobaccos and comparing the taste side
by side with various other tubes. However in all fairness, we have only had these tubes
for a short while and have seen only a few boxes of them so we ask our readers, who choose
to try them, to let us know their opinion as well. The 100mm length is a welcomed
innovation and as you can see in the diagram at left they are definitely longer though not
quite 100mm (97mm to be accurate). They are also thinner in diameter, which we feel is
going to be a necessity for this length to be popular with the manufactured cigarette
crowd. In fact, as more companies explore the 100mm tube market, we feel it inevitable
that the final industry standard be even smaller in diameter than these. The box they come
in is the nicest in the industry and should set a standard for improved packaging of all
future tubes containers. They are certainly worth a try as the Maiker Brand injector,
necessary for their use, provides for a low cost experiment, and the tubes, given their
additional size, are fairly priced. Remember, these tubes will work on NO other injector
as they are smaller in diameter and won't fit on the injection nozzles of other
manufacturers. Let us know what you think - RYO

EDITOR'S NOTE: These reviews are solely for the convenience of people of legal age who already smoke, are trying to cut down on smoking, wish to spend less money on their smoking, want to roll their own cigarettes from high quality tobacco, and, in general, wish to have a far more satisfying, and economical smoking experience when compared with smoking pre-manufactured cigarettes. We, in no way, encourage people to smoke. Further, we prescribe to a sane, more logical approach to smoking that involves common sense as to quantity coupled with a strong desire to manage the habit until it becomes an occasional, freely chosen, diversion, that can be fully enjoyed with minimal health risks. Finally, we strongly encourage those who do smoke to take it outdoors, or to appropriate environments where tobacco can be enjoyed away from those who do not smoke, most especially children. We do not sell tobacco or related products from this site; We distribute information about our perceptions of the quality of what is available and where it can be obtained. If you are under 18, it is illegal to buy tobacco and you should immediately exit this site. If you do not smoke, it would seem illogical to start. |
